Global Brigades at UCI – Service projects abroad summer 2015!
Global Brigades at UC Irvine is a group of passionate student volunteers who work on sustainable development projects in Honduras and Panama. Join one of these summer brigades. In Honduras: Global Microfinance Brigades, Global Engineering Brigades, Global Medical/Dental Brigades, and Global Water Brigades. In Panama: Human Rights Brigades and Environmental Brigades. UCI XIV Dalai Lama Endowed Scholarship – Apply by April 2, 2015
This scholarship supports exceptional students who are committed to advancing the values of compassion, contemplation, courage, interconnectedness, collaboration, humility and service who want to design and launch ambitious "compassion-in-action" projects aimed at engaging campus and/or community members. The UCI XIV Dalai Lama Endowed Scholarship awards one student up to $10,000 for their 2015-2016 fees as well as a grant of up to $10,000 from the Dalai Lama Fellows to support the project costs.
UCEAP Research Award $1000 – Apply by May 1, 2015
These awards recognize undergraduate students who have distinguished themselves through their excellence in research conducted while abroad on a UCEAP program.To be eligible you must complete a final paper on your research by the end of spring quarter 2015. More details at the link above.

International Studies Club
The International Studies Club is an academic club designed to integrate students from all backgrounds who share a common interest in the global arena. From areas of public health assistance, governance and public policy to anthropology and culture. ISC incorporates academic events that focus on global issues, societies and cultures and students can come together to synthesize opinions and ideas. The synergistic club is designed for all students of UCI, regardless of major.
